Jillian Foraker, LCSW

Founder, Lead Therapist & Clinical Supervisor

I’m the founder of Tuckahoe Counseling and a licensed clinical social worker based in Richmond, Virginia. I care deeply about creating a therapy space that feels grounded, supportive, and real. I work with adults, children, adolescents, and families navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, and the many transitions that come with life.

My approach is relational and thoughtful, helping clients slow down, understand their patterns, and build practical tools that support steadiness and growth. I also provide clinical supervision and mentorship to emerging therapists, supporting high-quality, ethical care across our practice. At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy should feel steady, collaborative, and genuinely helpful.

Outside of the therapy room, I value time with my family and creating spaces that feel intentional, calm, and grounding.

Becca Lowe, MSW

Therapist (Supervised)

I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in patterns that no longer feel helpful. I aim to create a therapy space that feels calm, supportive, and approachable, especially for clients who may feel unsure about starting therapy or opening up.

My work is collaborative and thoughtful, helping clients better understand their emotions, build practical coping skills, and develop confidence in navigating everyday challenges. With children and adolescents, I often incorporate creativity, play, and hands-on activities to support engagement and emotional expression in ways that feel natural and accessible.

I practice as a therapist under the close supervision of Jillian Foraker, LCSW, and receive ongoing consultation as part of my clinical work. I offer therapy at a reduced rate while providing attentive, high-quality care grounded in curiosity, compassion, and growth.

Outside of the office, I enjoy coaching athletics and spending time outdoors with my dogs, which helps me stay grounded and connected.

Callie

Thera-pup

Hi, I’m Callie, the therapy dog at Tuckahoe Counseling.
After many hours of training with my human, Jillian, I learned how to offer a calm, comforting presence. That might mean resting quietly nearby, bringing a little lightness into the room, or simply being there when things feel hard.

These days, I’m easing into a slower pace and visit the office less often as I enjoy my naps at home. But when I do stop by, I love being part of the team and sharing a bit of calm along the way.
